The country music festival known as the Faster Horses Tour returns to the grounds of Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn Michigan the weekend of July 18-20. Three days of country music on multiple stages featuring headliners, legends, and new artists is now in its second year. The festival only sells tickets for the entire weekend music package. There are no single day passes. Confirmed headlining country music stars include Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, and Tim McGraw. Many additional artists will also perform live on stage over the 3 day weekend.
MIS is located along highway 12 in South Central Michigan near Jackson. A rural setting for the event leads to a limited amount of indoor lodging availability. Thousands of visitors will be camping on the MIS grounds. Hundreds of visitors will be sleeping in a real bed. Scores of fans are local and will be commuting from home. With 10’s of thousands of concert goers expected–each spending the entire weekend at the festival–early reservations are recommended.
Munro House Bed and Breakfast in Jonesville Michigan is located just 25 minutes from MIS, and just a block off of highway 12 in downtown Jonesville. A queen size mattress is much more comfortable than a sleeping bag in a tent. An air conditioned room will provide better sleeping conditions than a muggy night in a campground. A hot breakfast will be offered every day rather than a pop tart or left-over pizza in a field. A hot shower and privacy may be the best reason to stay at the Munro House.
