I awakened this morning to find that the power was off throughout Jonesville. I got up before dawn to figure out if it was my problem, or everybody’s problem. Apparently, a transformer blew up and affected everybody in Jonesville. With no electricity, it was about to be a basic breakfast. I found my handy headband light and got a lantern for my early rising guest. He was able to shave by lamplight while I prepped coffee, fruit and juice (my coffee maker has pre-heated water). We just had cereal and enjoyed an old-fashioned breakfast while we waited for the sunrise to naturally light up the house.
