Caffe Azzurri (517-437-7538) is the new restaurant in Hillsdale that opened on March 15, 2011. It is on the grounds of Hillsdale Country Club on Lake Baw Beese. Country Club membership is not required to dine at this new restaurant.
We were seated with a great view of the lake and enjoyed the ambiance as we eagerly awaited a new upscale dining experience in Hillsdale County. A huge bowl of salad was prepared for us to mix and share while we waited for our chosen entrees.
My wife, Lori, loves Lake Perch while I opted for Veal Marsala. Both are favorite, but rare, menu selections. We were pleased with our choices and appreciated the attentive service. The interesting and uncommon menu along with the peaceful lake setting make an excellent alternative for a great night out in the Jonesville/Hillsdale area.
The generous portions did not leave room for us to order dessert even though the Home-Made Ice Cream and Apple Bread Pudding were very tempting.
